Peola is the founder of The Rock Financial Wellness Center, which is an extension of Firm Foundation Ministries, Inc. www.myfirmrock.org which she founded many years ago; promoting biblical education and coaching to help people move forward toward their purpose in life. One of her areas of expertise is in Money Management, which is becoming a primary focus to help people gain greater financial freedom. During her ministry studies, she developed a Financial Literacy model combining faith and personal money management as her Doctor of Ministry Project entitled “Blow the Trumpet in Zion: Sound an Alarm” A Community-Based Ministry for Financial Literacy. The project emphasizes a biblical understanding of God’s economy, and our responsibility to end all forms of entrapments in our relationship to money. To that end, many have experienced changed lives. through her coaching and education to become faithful managers of the resources that God has entrusted to them. This is especially helpful for married couples who never discuss money before marriage and find themselves struggling with money, which leads to arguments and division in the home.  Furthermore, Dr. Hicks is passionate about helping people who know only about giving in church or to charitable organizations, but lack the discipline to balance what they have left…this also includes pastors and anyone who could benefit from her help. People of all ages who have a desire to change their relationship with money are great candidates for success..  Coming out of a pastoral as well as a corporate background, she is well equipped to lead and help others in this area.  Peola believes that faithfulness to God should include all areas of our lives, including our finances.

Peola has earned her credentials as a Certified Personal Financial Wellness Consultant by the National Financial Educators Council.
